Singaporean businessman and philanthropist Peter Tan is inviting interested Filipinas to participate in the search for MsMA (Ms Millionaireasia) 2023  - a competition for the best Asian female who  exemplifies the ideal of "woman empowerment." The winner, who will take home the grand prize money of SGD$1 million,  will be decided by public voting.

Tan is the chairman of PTO Holdings and CEO of Millionaireasia, a multi-channel platform with a database of 40,000 high-net-worth individuals in the region.

"In our database of 40,000 premium members, we noticed that 80 per cent were male. I feel that there is a need to raise awareness of women's achievements and promote more success stories of accomplished women in Asia. This is why we launched MsMA 2023," Tan stressed.

"I believe in the strength of the Filipino woman and I encourage them to participate in MsMA 2023. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for them to campaign for an Idea, propagate its Value, and brand their Personality," the Singapore-based CEO added.

The first stage of the competition will be the quarter finals which will be held until Aug. 21 this year. If one reaches 1,000 votes, she advances to the semi-finals.

Tan justified that the paid voting system is needed to bring out only quality voters. " If we allow free voting, we're not getting the best people. We will end up with people just buying likes and votes."

The next stage after the quarter finals is the semi-finals which will be held from Aug. 24 to Oct. 9 this year. All those who got 1000 votes will now upload a two-minute video of themselves. The price per vote is increased to SGD$20 and they need to get 2,000 votes to advance into the finals.

In the last stage,  contestants need to present a three-minute video explaining their value proposition and why people should vote for them. The finalists who end up being Top 20 in votes will be treated to a sponsored trip to Singapore in November. According to Tan, they will get to experience the millionaire's lifestyle for a week. This includes dining out in Michelin restaurants, being driven around town in luxury cars, and cruising in a super yacht..

Aside from the SG$1 million prize for the champion, Millionaireasia will provide finalists with  brand ambassadorship, fashion modelling and movie casting opportunities.

The Millionaireasia CEO said they have signed an agreement with ABS-CBN to produce a MsMA movie, and contestants can apply to be cast in the movie.

Those who reach 1000 votes before end of June will also be invited to  Fashion and Beyond's Festival to be held from July 3 to 9 in Singapore, with the second fashion show to be held in Korea.

Tan revealed that voters of the contestants  will also reap a number of benefits as they will get to network and have access to the Friends of Millionaire Asia Only (FoMo) online platform. Voters will also get the chance to win SG$100,000 in the lucky draw prize raffle.
