Chinese man wanted for physical abuse arrested in Pasay City
A Chinese man wanted for physical abuse was arrested by members of the Pasay Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) on Monday, May 22.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, said the suspect identified as Wei Lei,34, was arrested at around 1 p.m. on Pasadena Street in Pasay City.
Uy said members of the WSS conducted a manhunt operation against wanted persons, leading to the arrest of Lei.
He said a warrant was issued for the arrest of Lei for violation of Republic Act No. 9262 or "Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004."
The warrant was issued by Judge Jehan Bautista Sampao-Hassiman, presiding judge of Family Court Branch 11 on March 10, 2023 with a recommended bail of P2,000.
The suspect was detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
