It helps caregivers and children to deal with difficulties, daily stresses and challenges by strengthening the structure and functions of a family to prevent drug use, violence, and other social consequences for the kids.

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along”Malapitan said that through the SFP and other similar programs, the city government will be able to assess the status of families and help in creating a more conducive environment.

"Kailangan ang intervention ng gobyerno upang matulungan ang bawat pamilya na maging matatag at kapaki-pakinabang sa lipunan (Government intervention is needed to help each family become stable and useful to the society)," Malapitan said.

“Nasa 30 families po ang unang benepisyaryo ng ating programa at umaasa po kami na mas marami pa ang makikinabang sa programang ito lalo na iyong mga pamilya na naninirahan sa mga high-risk areas (The first beneficiaries of our program are 30 families and we hope that more will benefit from this program, especially those families who live in high-risk areas)," CADAO Officer-in-charge Sony Amoyo said.

The beneficiaries received certificates of completion, sacks of rice and educational materials, the city government said.
