ILOILO CITY – Ten policemen assigned across Iloilo province were awarded on Monday, May 22, for their accomplishments in the campaign against crime.

Police Col. Ronaldo Palomo, director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), led the awarding in Camp Sumagaysay, the IPPO headquarters, in Santa Barbara town. “This is to boost morale and inspire our personnel to perform better,” said Palomo. Two were awarded for arresting most wanted persons – Police Senior Master Sgt. Bonifacio Jalandoni of the Barotac Viejo Municipal Police Station and Police Staff Sgt. Jeppie Vicente of the San Dionisio Municipal Police Station. Police Corporal Nomer Ceballos of the Maasin Municipal Police Station was awarded for arresting other wanted persons. Police Senior Master Sgt. Joemarie Balisang of the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station was awarded for a successful anti-illegal drugs operation. Police Senior Master Sgt. Emmanuel Canatoy of the Leon Municipal Police Station was awarded for the campaign against loose firearms. Police Patrolman Roel John Arabening of the Sara Municipal Police Station was awarded for successfully serving the warrant and arresting a fugitive with illegal firearms. Police Staff Sgt. Bryan Abenir of the Ajuy Municipal Police Station was awarded for the campaign against illegal gambling. Police Staff Sgt. Martin Valdeviezo of the Ajuy Municipal Police Station was awarded for campaign against illegal fishing. Police Staff Sgt. Bob Luster Anam of the Santa Barbara Municipal Police Station and Police Corporal Alfred Mones of the Zarraga Municipal Police Station were awarded for their contributions in the campaign against illegal quarrying.
