Over P700,000 illegal drugs seized in QC


Quezon City Police District (QCPD) personnel confiscated more than P700,000 worth of illegal drugs and collared three suspects  in two separate buy-bust operations in the city on Saturday, May 20.

Lt. Col. May Genio, QCPD Holy Spirit Station (PS 14) commander, identified two suspects as Raymond Jumilla and Isabel Resultay.

The PS 14 launched the entrapment operation against the suspects along Himalayan Road, Barangayb Pasong Tamo, Quezon City at around 10 p.m. after concerned citizens reported about illegal trade in the area.

Confiscated from their possession were 5,595 grams of marijuana worth P671,000 and one unit of digital weighing scale.

Meanwhile, the QCPD District Drug Enforcement Unit also arrested Abdalla Madis, 34, of North Fairview, Quezon City in front of Quezon City Polytechnic University, along IBP Rd., Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

The buy-bust operation was held against the suspect was launched by the DDEU at around 11 p.m. on the same day.

Authorities seized 15 grams of "shabu" worth P102,000.00, one  red coin purse, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money from the suspects.

All the suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
