ILIGAN CITY – Armed Forces Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Roy Galido donned the rank of lieutenant colonel to newly commissioned reserve officer Henry Oaminal, governor of the province of Misamis Occidental.

The ceremony was held at the Misamis Occidental Sports and Cultural Center in Oroquieta City on Friday morning, May 19.
Galido was accompanied by Joint Task Force ZamPeLan commander Major Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, 1st Infantry Division assistant division commander Brig. Gen. Jose Randolf Sino Cruz, 102nd Infantry Brigade commander Col. Elmer Suderio, and reservist affairs commander Col. Patricio Tomales.
Oaminal's wife Pearl and daughter Althea and local chief executives of Misamis Occidental also graced the ceremony.
Galido thanked Oaminal for his untiring support to the Armed Forces especially in addressing security concerns of Misamis Occidental.
He commended Oaminal for his resolve to be of greater help to the military by joining the reserve force.
