Woman arrested for possession of drugs, guns in Las Piñas
Members of the Las Piñas Police Tactical Motorcycle Riders Unit (TMRU) who were conducting “Oplan Sita” operations arrested a woman for possession of drugs, guns and ammunition on Thursday night, May 18.
Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, said the suspect identified as Maricel Fultura, 40, was arrested, but her companion identified as “Lolong” eluded arrest.
Santos said Fultura was arrested at around 11:30 p.m. in Padre Diego Cera, Barangay Pulanglupa, Las Piñas City.
He said members of TMRU, who were conducting “Oplan Sita”, flagged down the suspects for not wearing helmets.
The city police chief said “Lolong” tried to change his direction to avoid the policemen. Fultura fell from the motorcycle while Lolong managed to ran away.
Policemen who responded to help Fultura found in her possession shabu weighing 1.4 grams worth P9,520.
Santos said aside from shabu, recovered from Fultura were one .45-caliber pistol with two live ammunitions and cash amounting to P31,000 placed inside a sling bag.
