Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez led the inauguration and blessing of a new child development center at the Sampaloc Site in Barangay BF Homes on Friday, May 19.

Olivarez said the Bayabas Child Development Center is a welcome addition to the existing 16 child centers in Barangay BF and the overall 135 child centers around in the city. The new two-story child development center can accommodate 60 kindergarten learners in Sampaloc Site. During the blessing ceremony and inauguration, Olivarez emphasized the importance of education among the children. The mayor, who is also a professor, said it is important for the students to have a conducive place to learn and fulfill their studies. Olivarez said the city government is continuing to develop all schools in the city with the constructions of additional buildings. He also said that all public school students from kindergarten to senior high school are receiving monthly allowances from the city government. The city government is also giving educational financial assistance for the city’s college students.
