The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) wants actress Ria Atayde to be their new spokesperson.
MMDA acting chair Don Artes relayed this to media Friday noting Ria will be a great asset to the agency.
"I personally recruited Ms. Ria Ataye who graciously agreed. I submitted the application, endorsement to Malacañang for Ms. Atayde to be the spokesperson of the MMDA," said Artes.
"As qualifications are concerned, she's a communications graduate from La Salle. I think her work experience is suited for the spokesperson position. And her being a celebrity would be beneficial to the agency as far as information dissemination is concerned," Artes added.
Ria is the sister of actor-congressman Arjo Atayde.
Both are children of awarded actress Sylvia Sanchez.
