LOOK: Lieutenant Colonel Romero welcomes 4-star US general to PH

1-Pacman Party-list Rep. Mikee Romero was dressed to the nines as he welcomed a four-star general from the United States (US) on Friday, May 19. Romero proudly wore his Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) uniform as he and AFP Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Alejandro NacNac welcomed US National Guard Bureau chief, General Daniel Hokanson. For those who don't know, Romero is an AFP reservist with the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Hokanson is on a tour of the Asia-Pacific. The veteran congressman said the US military official’s visit is part of efforts to strengthen relations between the Philippines and the US. Romero currently chairs the Committee on Poverty Alleviation in the House of Representatives. He is a former deputy speaker.
