A resident of Taguig was arrested by the police in Pateros for carrying an unlicensed gun on May 2.
Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft, Southern Police District director, identified the suspect as Adrian Orate, 25.

Orate was accosted by the police during an “Oplan Sita” operation at about 1:20 a.m. along M. Almeda Street in Barangay Martirez, Pateros. Elements from the Pateros Police Aguho Substation 2 confiscated from him a .22-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver. Orate will be charged for violation of Republic Act 4136 (Land Transportation and Traffic Code), Revised Penal Code for resistance and disobedience upon a person in authority, and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition).
