The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm announces the return of PCCI Cares Run for a Cause 2023 aptly titled as “PCCI Cares Fur You.” Three years since Covid-19 hit the country, forcing the cancellation of PCCI-CSR’s annual activity, the fifth run for a cause event will happen on May 28, 2023, at the Liwasang Ulalim, CCP Complex in Pasay City. This running event’s comeback will welcome not only running professionals and enthusiasts but also fur parents and their cuddly fur babies. PCCI’s event partner, Aldenver Events, represented by Ms. Veronica Ramos reveals the background behind this year’s theme. “The inclusion of our pet friends in our fun run festivity will make our running event comeback more entertaining,” Ms. Ramos explains. “This is worth mentioning, especially during the lockdown when our fur babies have been our source of joy and sanity,” Ms. Ramos adds. PCCI’s Honorary Chairman and Treasurer, also a Director for CSR, Mr. Sergio Ortiz-Luis, Jr. shares his gratitude for the support of the sponsors, running groups, and the media for this event. “This is the fifth fun run and with your support, it will be a success again. You know very well that PCCI, whenever there are calamities or whenever there is a need, we would like to do our part,” Mr. Ortiz-Luis, Jr. tells. PCCI will gather all its member companies as well as non-member companies in this notable activity to keep espousing a healthy lifestyle in the workplace and the business community. More than the fun and camaraderie, this run for a cause will extend assistance to the needs of our underprivileged citizens in the country. In the recent years before the pandemic, PCCI-CSR’s Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation has been consistently committed in responding to calamity victims and war-stricken areas in the country. Thus, the proceeds of the PCCI Cares Fur You Run for a Cause 2023 will aid in funding the needs of PCCI Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Programs to continue its mission and advocacy. PCCI Cares Fur You Run for a Cause 2023 will feature short- and long-distance running categories –1 km with Pets, 1 km with Kids, and 1 km with Seniors, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km runs. A Zumba activity will help warm up the participants before the run. Meanwhile, PCCI’s generous sponsors will give away special prizes during the awarding ceremony. In addition, PCCI will give a plaque and a cash prize of P20,000.00 to the largest number of registered participants coming from any PCCI member companies or running organizations who will join the said activity. To register, visit [www.myruntime.com](http://www.myruntime.com). The joining fees are as follows: 1 km with pets for P600, 1 km with kids for P500, and 1 km with seniors for P800 with senior discount to be applied, 3 km for P650, 5 km for P750, and 10 km for P850. Participants will receive a singlet, race bib, and finisher’s medal. They will also get loot bags from the sponsors of this activity.
