770 meal packs distributed to students in Parañaque City

Mondelez Philippines employees came together on Tuesday, April 25, to volunteer for a worthy cause for the community.
A total of 770 meal packs were distributed to students of Baclaran Elementary School in Parañaque City, Mondelez Philippines, Inc. said on Tuesday, May 2.
The meal distribution was initiated by the company which has been providing its customers with snacks varying from cookies to chocolate products for the past 60 years since 1963.
“Mondelez Philippines employees came together for the first time since the pandemic – since 2019 to be exact – to volunteer for a worthy cause for the community,” it said.
It added that 55 individuals voluntarily wore gloves and hairnets to pack nutritious meals for the students.
The brand partnered with groups and organizations, including Hands On Manila, a volunteer mobilization group; and Rise Against Hunger Philippines, a partner of the company since 2018.
Together, the groups work to “help avoid food waste and support communities in danger of facing hunger.”
Hands On Manila has been helping the company kick off a series of volunteer activities for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Mondelez.
Mondelez said it will continue to come up with programs to help children fight malnutrition.
