CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Sixty-three individuals wanted by the law were arrested during an unrelenting operation conducted by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera from April 23 to April 29.
The PRO-Cordillera’s anti-criminality campaign also resulted in the 52 municipalities in the region recording zero crime incidents in the period.
Citing a record by the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), PRO-Cordillera Director Police Brig. General David Peredo Jr. said that the Baguio City Police Office had the highest number of arrests with 18, followed by the Abra Police Provincial Office and Benguet PPO with 17 arrests each, the Apayao PPO and Kalinga PPO with four arrests each, the Ifugao PPO with two arrests, and the Kalinga PPO with one arrest.
Of the arrested personalities, eight individuals were listed as most wanted Persons (MWP), including two each on the provincial and municipal levels, three on the city level, and one on the station level.
Meanwhile, 52 municipalities in the different provinces of the region and two police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PRO-Cordillera recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 22 out of 27 municipalities in Abra; three out of six municipalities in Apayao; eight out of 13 municipalities in Benguet; eight out of 11 municipalities in Ifugao; four out of seven municipalities in Kalinga; and seven out of ten municipalities in Mountain Province.
The Naguilian Police Station 1 and Aurora Hill Police Station 6 recorded zero crime incidents in Baguio City.
