The Parañaque city government entered into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with two restaurant companies for the employment of the city’s senior citizens and persons with disability (PWDs).
Mayor Eric Olivarez, the Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, and Sauce Bar and Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. signed the MOA on Thursday, May 18, at the Mayor’s Office.

The two restaurant companies were represented by WOW Brand Holdings Inc. – Peri- Peri Operations Manager Michael Marcelo and Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. General Manager Jorge Ma. Querubin Concepcion.
The mayor said the agreement between the city government and the two restaurant companies is in accordance with City Ordinance No. 2023-094.
According to the ordinance approved by the City Council, the policy is one of the steps of the city government to integrate senior citizens and PWDs as productive members of society.
Olivarez said the city government also recognizes the capacity and skills of senior citizens and PWDs.
He said based on the agreement, qualified senior citizens and PWDs can work in restaurant companies in their branch in Barangay San Martin De Porres.
The mayor said senior citizens who want to work in any of the two restaurant companies must be 60 years old or above. Deaf or mute individuals can also apply.
Olivarez said they only need to pass the physical, medical, and laboratory examinations from the Hospital of Parañaque and secure a medical certificate stating that they are fit to work.
He said the applicants need also to submit additional documents like recommendation letter from Public Employment and Services Office (PESO); resume; medical certificate; result of their physical, medical, and laboratory examination; Mayor’s Permit from Parañaque City Health Office; barangay certification; police clearance or NBI clearance and others.
