Beko marks its third anniversary in the Philippines by launching new products
Filipinos value cleanliness and it can be clearly seen with the way they keep their houses pristine. With what happened during the Covid-19 pandemic, it even pushed for some to level up their household cleaning criteria by getting appliances with antibacterial features.
With this, trusted European home appliances brand, Beko, marks its third anniversary in the Philippines by launching products that are equipped with antibacterial features—to help Filipinos get that peace of mind that no harmful bacteria can stay in their homes.
Dishwashers
The idea of having a dishwasher in the kitchen is still fairly new in the Philippine market, that is why Beko is keen to help Filipinos understand the advantages of getting one. “Here in the Philippines, they said that our dishwashers are voice activated when you say ‘*yaya,* please wash the dishes’ and they can even do cleaning and other stuff,” Dyeun Zapanta, Beko marketing head jested during an interview with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. They also had a trade launch event last May 18, 2023 at the Marriott Hotel as part of its anniversary celebration. “But in the advanced market, having a dishwasher is mandatory and important because of hygienic reasons—its sterilization capability.” This year, the brand is bringing two of its dishwasher machines in the country. Those machines have an NSF-certified sanitize feature that is proven to keep dishes 99 percent hygienically clean.
Dryers
Another aspect where Pinoys have been extra careful is on the cleanliness of clothes, since these are exposed outside, viruses and bacteria may cling to it longer. With that the brand is boasting about the HygieneShield features of their washing machines and dryers. This type of technology uses UV light technology to kill bacteria and viruses, especially for clothes that can’t be washed at high temperatures. “Covid is still here. *Hindi naman siya nawala*,” Dyeun said. “With the help of these machines, it can sanitize your clothes and provide you with a more hygienic wash. It prevents the spread of viruses and bacteria.” Apart from these products, Beko Philippines, also announced its partnership with Plastic Credit Exchange, which serves a global ecosystem of carefully vetted partners that recover, process, and recycle plastic waste with programs that improve livelihood, scale up social impact, and reduce the flow of plastic pollution. The partnership is in line with Extended Producer Responsibility Law, which holds companies responsible for the plastic packaging they use throughout the lifecycle of their products. *To know more, click* [*here*](http://beko.ph/)*.*
