The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board for Professional Teachers announced on Friday, May 19, that 24,819 out of 60,896 (40.76%) passed the elementary level and 48,005 out of 102,272 (46.94%) passed the secondary level of the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers.

Bohol Island State University - Tagbilaran and the University of Santo Tomas were hailed as the top performing schools for elementary level after garnering a 100 percent passing rate.
Meanwhile, six examinees made it to the first place of said level after garnering a 92.20 percent average.

They were Sitty Ken Rose Alip from Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology, Mikaela Andrea Tampilic Bonador from the University of the Philippines - Diliman, Jose King Paliza Clet from Philippine Normal University (PNU) - Manila, Cyntal Arra Sabatin Dayag from the University of Mindanao (UM) - Tagum, Andrea Nicole Vicera Sumugat from the University of Negros Occidental - Recoletos, and Fritzie Mae Sarona Unabia from Cebu Technological University - Argao.

Meanwhile, PNU-Mindanao was named the top-performing school for the secondary level with a 98.32 percent score.
Mirven Maghuyop Cabesay from UM-Davao City was the exam's top notcher with a 93.40 percent rating.

The exams were given by the Board for Professional Teachers composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.
