Forty-one lovely candidates will vie for the title of Supermodel International Philippines 2023 which will be held at the Quezon Convention Centre in Lucena City on Saturday, May 20, at 7 p.m.

Presented by Spotlight Couronne Internationale Inc., Pasayahan sa Lucena, 2205 Suites by East Orient, and Ascent Employment, the Supermodel International Philippines 2023 aims to promote social responsibility and advocacy.

"It encourages its candidates to use their influence to create positive change in their communities, and to highlight the diverse and inclusive beauty of the Philippines. It's a celebration of different body types, skin tones, and facial features that make up the unique beauty of the Philippines," organizers said.

Meg Perez, operations manager of the competition, also said: "It's really amazing. We didn't expect to have many candidates at the inaugural pageant. As a matter of fact, we have the most number of candidates for a national pageant this year, with 41 girls. I'm so happy with the turnout of candidates."

Perez said that the winner will represent the Philippines at the Supermodel International contest in Chiang Mai, Thailand in September.
