Villegas said she was also grateful for the support of Arnaiz’s parents for the advocacies of their daughter.
Aside from being bestowed the award, Arnaiz was elected as the club secretary for the incoming Rotary Year 2023-2024.
As club secretary, Arnaiz is tasked to maintain all club records, record minutes of all the meetings of the club and of the board, and provide copies of such to the sponsor club(s) upon request.
Arnaiz was also chosen to chair a new committee: Committee on Education and Literacy.
According to RCMPSA President-Elect Audrey Pulga, she wanted Arnaiz to head the Education and Literacy Committee in her term because of the latter’s experience in teaching/tutoring and her wonderful advocacies in HKK Pilipinas.
Pulga also admired her passion in teaching and sharing her talents with the different developing communities.
Part of Pulga’s plans is to intensify the education program of RCMPSA and she believes that Patricia Arnaiz is suited for the position.
Aside from being a community youth volunteer (Rotaractor) and founder of HKK Pilipinas, Arnaiz was an active Grade 11 student leader of Everest International Academy Manila, the first international Catholic K-12 school in the Philippines and a member of Regnum Christi.
Rotaract is a portmanteau from Rotary and Action and created by the Rotary International (RI), a global humanitarian organization.
Rotaract aims to develop future leaders by teaching the new generation to exchange ideas with others in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service.
