3 men arrested in shabu buy-bust in Taguig

Three men, including an 18-year-old, were arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on May 17.  The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as Rolly Dela Peña, 52; Renz Angeles, 18; and Carl Lorenz Malanay, 21.

Elements of the SPD Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the buy-bust operation along Maestrang Pinang Street in Barangay Ligid-Tipas, Taguig.  Seized from the suspects were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with an estimated value of P102,000 and P500 bill used as buy-bust money. The arrested suspects were brought to the SPD for documentation and will be charged with complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).   SPD chief Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft assured the public that the SPD will continue to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs to make communities safer and drug-free.
