3 Baguio cops feted for accomplishments


BAGUIO CITY – The chief and two ranking police officers of the Baguio City Police Office received the Philippine National Police-Medalya ng Kasanayan from the Police Regional Office-Cordillera for their notable accomplishments in Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on May 15.

Police Col. Francisco Bulwayan Jr., BCPO director, and Police Lt. Col. Reymino Paduyao, chief of the City Operations Management Unit, were cited for their successful campaign against illegal drugs during the Nationwide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) conducted from April 18 to 23.

BCPO City Administrative and Resource Management Unit (CARMU) acting chief Police Major Leonard Danasen received the same medal for passing the 2022 Bar examinations.

The BCPO recorded the highest number of operations conducted, the highest arrest of high-value individuals, and the highest volume of shabu seized during the six-day nationwide SACLEO, consolidated reports on anti-illegal drug accomplishments among the six police provincial offices in the Cordillera said.

Two high-value individuals (HVI) and a street-level individual (SLI) were arrested and 37.84 grams of shabu and 0.64 grams of marijuana with a total estimated standard drug price of P257,524.80 were seized.

The BCPO attributed this accomplishment to the relentless efforts and aggressive law enforcement operations in the campaign against illegal drugs.

Bulwayan said they seek to promote the highest standard of police service for the benefit of the community they swore to serve and protect.
