A Barangay chairman in the City of Malolos, Bulacan, who is serving for 13 years, was recognized by the League of Barangays in the Philippines (LBP) due to his remarkable accomplishments in Barangay Catmon on Wednesday, May 17.
Barangay Catmon Chairman Ferdinand "Ferdie" Dimagiba received the plaque of recognition from Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Chito Valmocina during the League of Barangays Provincial Congress, Bulacan Chapter held at Hennan Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol.
Dimagiba was recognized for his accomplishments like constructions of school building, covered court, and senior citizens hall; barangay road asphalting, giving financial and medical assistance to the needy, and many others.
In his message, Dimagiba thanks the League of Barangays and Mayor Christian D. Natividad for the support they have given not only to him but to all residents of Catmon village.
He said that at the end of his term as Barangay Chairman, he would like to leave what he started in Barangay Catmon to his nephew, Councilor James Ian Kimpo Dimagiba.
