SM Prime opening 83rd mall

SM Prime Holdings Inc., one of the leading integrated property developers in Southeast Asia, is set to open SM City Bataan, its first mall in Bataan Province, on May 19, 2023. In a statement, the firm said this new mall will add 46,000 square meters of gross floor area to the Company’s mall portfolio by providing two levels of shopping, dining and entertainment options to the province. SM City Bataan will open with more than 90 percent of space lease-awarded and is located at the provincial capital of Balanga City which serves as the center of governance, trade, and tourism of the province. It will open with Foodcourt, Cyberzone, event center, cinemas, parking zones, and transport terminal complex. Its SM Cinema will offer three regular cinemas and two private cinemas for an immersive experience, while its parking zones will provide more than a thousand vehicle slots for added convenience. SM City Bataan will house a diverse selection of shops and services, both local and international labels, led by SM group’s well-loved brands such as The SM Store, SM Supermarket, SM Appliance Center, Uniqlo, Ace Hardware, Watsons, Surplus, Crocs, Pet Express, Miniso, Sports Central, Chinabank, and BDO. SM City Bataan is expected to provide unique malling experiences as it opens with alfresco dining areas, work pods, a pet park, bike-friendly facilities, electric car vehicle station, and other scenic spots that will capture locals’ hearts and supply them with world-class destination, products, and services that will add delight to their everyday lives. SM City Bataan is SM Prime’s 83rd mall in the Philippines. Once opened, SM Prime will have 59 malls in the provincial areas of the country and 24 malls in Metro Manila.
