A total of 344 entries from 44 countries and regions have been submitted to the Seoul International Drama Awards 2023.
This was announced by the Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee headed by chairman Kim Eui-chul, president of Korean TV channel KBS.

This is the largest number of entries ever in the history of the awards. Among them are works from Turkiye, China, Thailand, US, Japan and South Korea.
From the Philippines, “Maria Clara at Ibarra” from GMA Network and “2 Good 2 Be True” from ABS-CBN are among the entries this year.
Greece submitted its first entry to the Seoul International Drama Awards.
This year, Netflix Korea/Japan/India, China's Tencent, and Korea’s Wavve, Coupang Play, TVING, and Watcha submitted their representative works such as “The Glory,” “Bargain” and “Anna.”
Entries from South Korea also include “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” “Alchemy of Souls,” “Reborn Rich,” “The Law Cafe,” “Bad Prosecutor,” “Taxi Driver 2,” “Dr. Romantic 3,” “Big Mouth” and “True to Love.”
Other entries include Thailand’s “Finding the Rainbow” starring 2PM’s Nichkhun, Japan’s “War of Trap,” “Accused” from Sony Pictures and Netflix Japan’s “First Love, Hatsukoi.
A variety of European series recognized from world-renowned awards including the Canneseries and Series Mania in France, BAFTA and the US Emmy Awards have been submitted to the SDA 2023.
While a rematch of “The Glory” and “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is drawing people’s attention, the organizing committee said, "It’s true that these are one of the fabulous and the successful series in the market, but we know well that every single entry is produced by the great efforts of the numerous people who are concerned. We can proudly say the SDA is the only festival in Korea that we can meet various series around the world like even from Greece, Norway, Israel and Australia.”
The organizing committee will announce the nominees in mid-July after the preliminary and final judging are done.
