INFANTA, Quezon – Quezon Rep. Mark Enverga has discharged agricultural interventions worth P19 million to farmers’ associations in this town.
QUEZON Rep. Mark Enverga distributes P19-million worth of agricultural interventions from the Department of Agriculture (DA) headed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to farmers’ associations in Infanta, Quezon. (Danny Estacio) Three-hundred ninety-six farmers received an additional P500 financial assistance under the Rice Farmers Assistance (RFFA) of the Department of Agriculture. Enverga, chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture and Food, led the distribution with the Department of Agriculture regional office, Philrice in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippine Coconut Authority-Region 4-A, and the agricultural extension workers of the local government. Enverga also turned over the first batch of free palay seedlings that are fit to be planted during the wet planting season from Philrice to 225 farmers. PhilMech handed over a combine harvester to the Banugao Farmers Association and another four farmers’ associations received hand tractors with trailers. The Samahan ng Magsasaka ng Bacong was given a recirculating dryer and the Infanta-General Nakar Producers Cooperative (IGNPC) received a grain collector. A multi-cultivator, solar-powered irrigation, fertilizers, sacks of palay seedlings, vegetables, and other farm equipment were turned over to the Infanta High-Value Farmers Association. Recipients thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for supporting farmers, particularly in the northern portion of Quezon.
