PRO-13 logs 97.81% crime clearance efficiency in first quarter
CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 made a significant stride in the campaign against crime as it recorded a 97.81 percent Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE) in the first quarter of 2023.
The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDD) recorded 1,876 crime incidents from January to March with Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO) logging 358, Butuan City, 404; Dinagat Islands PPO, 33; Surigao del Norte PPO, 340, and Surigao del Sur PPO, 471.
Agusan del Sur PPO had a 99.16 percent CCE, followed by Surigao del Norte PPO with 98.53 percent, and Butuan CPO with 97.52 percent.
The Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, and Agusan del Norte PPOs had a CCE rating of 97.24 percent, 96.97 percent, and 96.67 percent, respectively.
CCE is the percentage of cleared cases out of the total number of crime incidents for a given period of time.
A case shall be considered cleared when at least one of the offenders has been identified; there is sufficient evidence to charge the suspect; and suspect has been charged before the prosecutor's office or any other court of appropriate jurisdiction.
PRO-13 chief Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II commended all police operating units in the Caraga for a good performance.
“I commend the commitment and dedication of all police investigators and prosecutors who worked tirelessly to file charges against the suspects and give justice to the victims,” Labra said.
“Likewise, the same recognition is given to the people in the community who helped us in our crime solution efforts,” Labra added.
