Faithful invited to join One Million Children Praying the Rosary on Oct. 18


The Aid to the Church in Need-Philippines (ACN)is inviting the faithful to join the One Million Children Praying the Rosary Campaign this year for unity and peace around the world.

The simultaneous praying of the Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m. in the 86 archdioceses and dioceses around the country which will be held face to face once again after three years.

In the country, the main event of the One Million Children Praying the Rosary campaign will be held at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Pasig City and will be led by students from the Pasig Catholic College.
 

“The Philippine celebration of One Million Children Praying the Rosary will be held face-to-face! Join us on Oct. 18 at 9 o’clock in the morning as we hold the main event at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig. We will be joined by the students of Pasig Catholic College,” said ACN Philippines.

The worldwide prayer event seeks to pray for world peace and unity among nations through the simultaneous recitation of the holy rosary by children from across the world.

The prayer event comes at an opportune time as Church leaders urge the faithful to pray for an end to the ongoing conflict between Israel and 

Inspired by Saint Padre Pio who said “When one million children pray the rosary, the world will change,” the One Million Children Praying the Rosary campaign began in Caracas, Venezuela in 2005 and was participated in by 80 countries.

The Philippines joined the campaign in 2016.
