Police seized around P1.5 million worth of petroleum products in a follow-up operation in Enrile town of Cagayan over alleged their illegal sale and distribution.
Police Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat, Jr., director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), said the operation also resulted in the arrest of six people who are now facing at least three criminal charges.
Caramat said the operation stemmed from the complaints of legitimate distributors of petroleum products against the C-Gas Refilling Plant in Brgy Roma Norte allegedly over adulteration, sale, and distribution of the products.Â
Armed with a search warrant issue dby a local court, CIDG operatives swooped down on the area and confiscated a number of items related to the alleged illegal operation of the local refilling plant.Â
Nabbed were Jay Divina Nicolas, 31; Gerry Dagan Ortiz, 29; Christopher Macarubbo Elacion, 23, all LPG re-fillers; Annabelle Esteban Domingo, 51, Supervisor; Erwin Guerero Bañares, 32, driver; and  Jerwin Lupani Mahinay, 31, helper.
The same operation, according to Caramat, led to the confiscation of an abandoned Isuzu truck containing seven empty Petron Gasul cylinder Pol valves, six empty Fiesta cylinders, 11 empty Petron Gasul cylinders, 12 repainted empty Solane cylinders, and two empty Solane cylinders.
Caramat said that all confiscated pieces of evidence have a total estimated value of Php1,529,300.00
