Two men listed under the police’s drug watchlist were arrested in a buy-bust operation on May 16 in Pateros.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Pateros police’s Drug Enforcement Unit on E. Hermosa in Barangay San Roque.

Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft identified the suspects as Rodrigo Acibes Jr., 48, and Esteban Tubig, 34, who were arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The police seized eight plastic sachets suspected to be shabu weighing one gram valued at P6,800, two P100 bills used as buy-bust money, and a Barangay San Roque identification card. The suspects and the evidence were brought to the Pateros police station. Major General Edgar Alan Okubo, head of the National Capital Region Police Office, commended the SPD for the operation.
