Star Kim Seon-ho’s new Korean film “The Childe” will be coming to the Philippines in July.
The movie tells the story of aspiring boxer Marco (played by Korean actor Kang Tae-joo), who is a Kopino, or born to a Korean father and Filipino mother, He lives with his sick mother and goes to illegal stadiums in the Philippines.

He decides to go to Korea to find his dad and pay for his mom’s surgery. Chaos ensues when he arrives in Korea as he becomes the target of different people.
Kim Seon-ho plays the role of a figure named Nobleman, who appears before Marco and starts chasing him. “The Childe” also stars Kim Kang-woo and Go Ara.
According to distributor Next Entertainment World (NEW), “The Childe” will be released in South Korea on June 21.
In the Philippines, CreaZion Studios announced that “The Childe” has been set for release on July 5.
During the press conference last January for his “Asia Tour in Manila: One, Two, Three. Smile,” Manila Bulletin asked Kim Seon-ho about his upcoming acting projects and he mentioned “The Childe.”
“My ongoing project, which will be released within this year, is a movie titled ‘Sad Tropics’ [previous title of the film] wherein I will play the role in which I will be chasing a Filipino boy,” said Kim Seon-ho.
