With their stunning looks and fit bodies, the competition is on among this year's Binibining Pilipinas candidates. Despite their hectic schedules, these ladies still knew how to stay active and healthy.

During their visit to the Manila Bulletin head office in Intramuros on May 15, some Binibinis gladly shared routines and tips on staying fit and beautiful.

Bb. 40 Candy Völlinger (Catanduanes) said that she works out by hitting the gym and doing dance routines.

'I do dance as a form of exercise as well as my Aerial dance, so that requires a lot of strength because you need to pull a lot of weight in your arms, so that's what I do to keep myself healthy and fit.'

For Bb. 23 Zoe Bernardo Santiago (Manila), one of her beauty routines is simple: being hydrated and confident.

"My best beauty secret is actually drinking so much water because I love to stay hydrated and also try to be confident and not be insecure because I always have this in my mantra that you try to appreciate other people, and it makes you even more beautiful."

Flaunting her morena skin and fit body, Bb. 26 Rheema Adakkoden (Camarines Sur) keeps it subtle by doing home workouts despite having a tight schedule.

"Aside from hitting my usual gym routines, I also do home workouts, especially right now with the hectic schedules of Binibining Pilipinas, so I want to use all of my free time that could enhance my body and tone my muscles."

With her advocacy of promoting Holistic living, Bb. 32 Sharmaine Magdasoc (Ortigas Pasig) said that giving our bodies the necessary vitamins is essential.

"With the help of my skincare clinic, also for me I use collagen drinks because it's important kasi laging kaming puyat and taking vitamin c, and of course, my diet meals. Since I am advocating holistic living, priority talaga ang foods."

For Bb. 33 Katrina Anne Johnson (Davao Del Sur), keeping her back on track was challenging. So, she made her routines fun to help her prepare for the competition, such as jumping ropes and taking her dogs for a walk.

"It was a bit challenging at first, but as I was preparing for the Binibini pageant, I really got back to the mindset of wanting to move every day and making sure that I kept walking, so I'm trying to find ways to make it fun by jump roping and walking my dogs."

"I try to eat healthy and very active but more than anything, I try to keep a positive outlook in life because everything reflects in our aura, and what you think and how you process your thoughts has an effect on how you present to others."

For Bb. 22 Anje Mae Manipol (Quezon Province), she always make sure to hit her gym workout to keep herself active and fit.

''My coach is very strict when it comes to my diet and exercise, so he is always their to help me and remind me to squeeze in quick workouts despite our busy Binibini schedules.''

With only two weeks away from the grand coronation, these candidates also shared their journey from attending events to spending time with their Binibini sisters.

''It was a bit hard for me at first since moving here from Sweden, but with the help of my Binibini sisters, I can say that it's been a crazy journey for me,' said Bernardo.

''To be honest, I'm just so grateful to be here para makilala and makabonding yung other Binibini candidates. Being a Binibini is just a great experience; despite the busy schedules and training for almost three months, medyo mixed emotions kasi matatapos na siya, and I'm going to miss it," Magdasoc also said.
