Man arrested for raping 15-year-old girl in QC

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) personnel arrested a man who allegedly raped the 15-year-old sister of his former live-in partner in Quezon City on Sunday morning, May 14. Lt. Col. Richard Ian Ang, QCPD Galas Station (PS 11) commander, identified the suspect as Albert, 24, of San Juan City. According to the police report, the victim, who was under the influence of liquor, arrived home in Barangay Sto. Nino, QC, and saw the suspect inside the house at around 1 a.m. on Sunday. Police said that while the victim was sleeping, the suspect sexually abused her. The victim then told her mother about the incident and they sought help from PS 11. Responding operatives went to the area and immediately arrested the suspect. Charges for violation of Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) and Republic Act 7610 (The Anti-Child Abuse Law) will be filed against the suspect, the QCPD said.
