Pasig LGU offers financial assistance to PWDs with small businesses
In a bid to further empower marginalized communities, the Pasig City Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) is offering financial assistance to persons with disabilities (PWDs) who have existing micro or small businesses in the city.
According to Pasig PDAO, only 200 slots have been opened for the financial assistance program. The first 200 applications will be accommodated by the office, provided the required documents are complete and the application passes the assessment of PDAO personnel.
Applicants may apply from Monday, May 15 to Friday, May 19.
Interested applicants must present a business profile of their micro or small businesses. The profile must indicate the following information: business name, products or services, average income, number of years of business, capital, and contact number.
A letter, explaining in two sentences how the financial assistance will help their respective businesses, must also be included.
Other required documents are barangay certificate of indigency, photocopies of the PWD ID and Valid ID of the PWD or the guardian (if the guardian is the beneficiary of the program), as well as pictures of the business.
The documents must be sealed in a long brown envelope, labelled with the information as follows: Financial Assistance For Business; PWD ID number; PWD Name; Barangay; Contact number.
They must be submitted on-site to the Pasig City PDAO office at the City Hall.
