Muntinlupa's total active Covid-19 cases increase to 97
The number of active Covid-19 cases in Muntinlupa has increased to 97 in the past week amid calls for people to get vaccinated.
Based on data from the City Health Office (CHO), as of May 15, Muntinlupa’s active Covid-19 cases totaled 97, up by 14 cases or 15 percent compared to 83 active cases as of May 8.

Between May 8 and 15, the city recorded 166 new Covid-19 cases as its confirmed cases increased to 46,655 from 46,489 last week since the pandemic started in 2020. There were also 148 patients who recovered in the past week while four deaths were recorded. Since 2020, there are 46,898 recoveries and 660 deaths in Muntinlupa. Of the 97 active Covid-19 cases in Muntinlupa, 20 are registered in Barangay Poblacion, 18 in Putatan, 14 in Tunasan, 12 in Sucat, 11 each in Bayanan and Alabang, six in Cupang, four in Ayala Alabang and one in Buli. Muntinlupa’s active Covid-19 cases totaled 11 as of April 24 and increased to 38 as of May 1. Amid the increase in Covid-19 cases, the Muntinlupa City government advised people to always wear face masks, get vaccinated up to the second booster shot and observe proper handwashing and disinfection.
