Minor drowns in Quezon resort

INFANTA, Quezon – A minor drowned and a Grade 12 student was rescued while swimming at Sanctuary resort in Purok Maligaya, Barangay Dinahican, here, on Mother’s Day. Police Senior Master Sgt. Severino Leopardo, investigator-on-case, identified the fatality as “Valerie” from Antipolo City. Investigation said passengers of a boat on their way to the resort retrieved the victim who was floating at sea and rescued her companion  Garelle Yamas, 20, also a resident of Antipolo City, who was seeking help at around 10:20 a.m. They were taken to the C.M. Recto Memorial District Hospital here where Valerie was declared dead.
