Gigi de Lana, bandmates hurt in vehicular mishap

Gigi de Lana and several of her bandmates in Gigi Vibes were involved in a vehicular accident on their way to a gig in Ilocos Norte, Sunday. The band made this known via social media the same day, if only to assure fans.

The band's official statement on the matter read: Gigi De Lana and The Gigi Vibes was involved in a car accident today at 10:20 am while traveling from the "Sulong Aurora Event" to the "Himala Sa Buhangin Event in Ilocos Norte." The band members, Jon, Oyus, Mela, Gigi, and four other crew members, sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no one else was involved in the accident, and all issues have been resolved. The band and crew have received medical clearance from the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center Hospital, and they will continue their journey to tonight's show. We express our gratitude to the LGU of San Fernando La Union, the LUPPO, and Mr. Erickson Dinglasan for their assistance during this unexpected incident. Maraming Salamat Po! But fans at the event said the band eventually didn't finish the show, with Gigi herself being helped off the stage by a handler. The band admitted this in a post.
