Gigi de Lana, band perform in Ilocos Norte following car crash in La Union


PAOAY, Ilocos Norte – Singer Gigi de Lana and her Gigi Vibes band performed at the Himala sa Buhangin Music and Arts Festival here a few hours  after they figured in an accident in San Fernando City, La Union on Sunday, May 14.

They headlined the second night of the festival and, according to reports, De Lana sang a medley of Filipino songs in earnest amid her condition.

However, reports added De Lana's  performance was cut short as she flinched during their set because of her minor injuries.

Fans cheered for her as she exited the stage assisted by local paramedics.

The band vowed to return to the province to perform once she recovers.

Himala, an initiative of former Ilocos Norte Gov. now Sen. Imee R. Marcos, has become one of the biggest music and arts festivals in Northern Luzon.

Under incumbent Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc's term, the event has expanded to include co-presenters such as Philippine Airlines and guests and marketing partners from the Visayas and Mindanao.
