31 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police arrested 31 wanted individuals in the Cordillera region from May 7 to 13. The Police Regional Office-Cordillera-Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) nabbed 13 wanted persons, followed by the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) with nine, Ifugao PPO with four, Abra PPO and Apayao PPO with two each, and the Kalinga PPO, one. Four were most wanted persons on the provincial level, two on the city level, three on the municipal level, and one on the station level. As a result of intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, 58 towns in the region and seven police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the same week. No crimes were reported in  25 out of  27 municipalities in Abra; five out of six in Apayao; eight out of 13 in Benguet; nine out of 11 in Ifugao; five out of seven in Kalinga; and six out of 10 in Mountain Province. In Baguio City, the Naguilian Police Station  1, Camdas PS 2, Loakan PS 4, Legarda Road PS 5, Kennon Road PS 8, Irisan PS 9, and Marcos Highway PS 10 logged zero crime incidents.
