Resorts in Tanay, Rizal offer relaxing spots for Mother's Day

Sea of clouds, cold breeze and nature sceneries are among the attractions that can be relaxing for a quick escape from the scorching hot weather of Metro Manila, especially this Mother’s Day month. That is why the municipal government of Tanay, has been showcasing the town’s upland resorts, restaurants, coffee shops and lodging facilities in its tourism promotion programs as this town in Rizal has lot to offer, not only during special occasions, but also all year round. The office of Tanay Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco told Manila Bulletin that tourists can take advantage of the last few summer weeks and enjoy the beauty of the town, especially this Mother’s Day. Joicee Gapido of the Tanay Tourism Office said tourists coming from Metro Manila are going to Tanay’s upland villages to escape Metro Manila’s weather this last few summer weeks. Gapido said among the tourist-friendly locations in the upland villages in Tanay is Viewscape Nature Park, a nature-rich staycation facility located in the Sierra Madre Mountain range at Sitio Maysawa, in Barangay Cuyambay. Tents and modernized nipa huts on the edge of the hills provide accommodation for guests to enjoy the sunset in the afternoon, stargazing at night, and the sea of clouds before sunrise.
The nature park, Gapido said is one of the perfect spots for picture taking as the sight provides 360 degrees of the portion of Sierra Mountain range especially during a cloudless day. This Mother’s Day, the park is having a photo contest to give away free accommodation with breakfast for winners just by checking in at the park until May 14, accomplish the entry ticket, have their photos taken at the designated frame highlighting their mom, and upload the pictures under one album by 10 a.m. on May 15, Monday, and view, react, comment and share the uploaded album from May 15 to 22. The photo with the most number of combined reactions wins.
