Ex-cop, three others nabbed in separate buy-bust operations in Nueva Ecija

NUEVA ECIJA â€“ A former member of the Philippine National Police who had gone AWOL and three others wanted by law were arrested after authorities allegedly found shabu, firearms, and ammunition from them on Friday, May 12. Provincial director Col. Richard V. Caballero of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police said that former the former PNP (name withheld) who went AWOL in 2014, was arrested during an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Caanawan, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. More or less .24 grams of suspected shabu with estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P4,000, caliber .45 pistol Armscor, seven ammunition for caliber .45, MK2 fragmentation hand grenade, and pink single motorcycle were seized. Meanwhile, three drug peddlers were also arrested in separate anti-illegal drug buy-bust operations conducted by operatives of Munoz City police and Talavera police. Seized from them were .97 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P6,596.
