Couples tie the knot in 'kasalang bayan' project of Parañaque Rep. Olivarez
Ten couples exchanged “I dos” in the mass wedding project of Parañaque 1st District Representative Edwin Olivarez held at the Parañaque City Hall Legislative Building on Friday, May 12.
Olivarez and his wife, Janet, served as godparents in his first “Kasalang Bayan” project themed “Ikaw at Ako, Ikinasal Na!”

Parañaque Mayor Eric Olivarez was the wedding officiant during the wedding rites of the 10 couples. After the wedding rites, Rep. Olivarez told the couples that communication and trust is very important in their relationship. He also advised them to always pray, thank and make God the center of their marriage. Mayor Olivarez also gave a message to the couples, sharing the importance of respect and understanding to each other as keys to a happy marriage. The congressional staff of Olivarez, Eva Nono, Mar Jimenez and Bernie Amurao, prepared and distributed a small token to the newly-wed couples.
