Bacolod's number three most wanted person escapes, minor hurt in shootout with policemen
BACOLOD CITY – A man wanted for a drug offense escaped, while a minor, who helped him escape, was wounded following a shootout with police operatives in Barangay 2 here on Thursday, May 11.
Police Capt. Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said that an arrest warrant for illegal drugs was supposed to be served against Moises Cuadra, who is the station's number three most wanted person, when Cuadra's relatives blocked the gate with a big wood upon seeing the approaching policemen.
Policemen tried to climb the perimeter wall but there were two big dogs inside.
Cuadra climbed onto the rooftop, along with a minor, and allegedly fired shots, prompting the police to retaliate.
Pastrana said the minor got wounded when his hand hit the roof, and that nobody was hit by a bullet.
Pastrana said that Cuadra's relatives and the minor will be charged for obstruction of justice.
