Four suspects were arrested for possession of over P200,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City on Friday, May 12.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) identified the four suspects as Archie Sevilla, 33, and George Hesta, 43; Marlon Roxas, 43, and Aiza Roxas, 35, who were listed as No. 1 and No. 9 station level drug personalities of PS 14.
Lt. Col. May Genio, PS 14 station commander, said all suspects were arrested at 10:45 p.m. in their residence in Brgy. Pasong Tamo.
PS 14 said the buy-bust operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Recovered from the suspects were 30 grams of alleged shabu worth P204,000, a pink perfume pouch, and the buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002" before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office.
Meanwhile, QCPD Director Brigadier Gen. Nicolas D Torre III lauded the relentless efforts of PS 14 Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives for their "unrelenting efforts on the campaign against illegal drugs."
"Ipagpatuloy lang natin ang masigasig na pagpapatupad ng batas laban sa kriminalidad lalo na ang illegal na droga upang protektahan ang mamamayan dito sa ating Lungsod (Let's just continue the diligent enforcement of the law against criminality especially against illegal drugs to protect the citizens here in the city,” Torre III expressed.
