Ricardo C. Perdigon, Ako-Bicol Rep. Raul Angelo D. Bongalon, and other officials from the BFP and LGUs at the Daraga Covered Court. Bongalon said that the House Committee on Appropriations chaired by Ako-Bicol Rep. Elizaldy Co allocated funds for the modernization of the BFP. "Ito po ay effort ng Ako Bicol party-list, of course kasama natin si Congressman Zaldy Co. Ito po ay parte ng BFP modernization program. Alam natin na may mga munisipyo na, although may mga firetrucks pero hindi na sila reliable (These firetrucks were through the efforts of the Ako-Bicol party-list and part of the BFP modernization program. There are towns that have firetrucks but they are not reliable anymore)," Bongalon said. Bongalon added that the firetrucks turned over to Daraga and Manito were the second and third in Bicol after the municipality of Malilipot in Albay province which received one last November. "This is already modern in the sense na meron na po itong firefighting equipment at 10,000 gallons ng tubig ang pwedeng i-karga dito kung hindi tayo nagkakamali (that this has firefighting equipment and has a capacity of 10,000 gallons if I’m not mistaken)," Bongalon said. Baldo thanked the BFP and Ako-Bicol for giving them a firetruck. He said that this would be a big help for BFP-Daraga in responding to fire incidents.
