Michael V ignites debate with viral post on content creators

Seasoned comedian-director-writer Michael V, also known to fans as Bitoy, has this to say about content creators: "The first thing any 'content creator' should understand is the meaning of the word: 'CONTENT.'" It was accompanied by emojis of rocks, cloud, boxing glove, no entry sign, and pouting face.

Many agreed. In fact, TV host Kim Atienza even commented: "Amen brother. it's not about views. It's about value." Actor Joross Gamboa also echoed the same. "Kuya Michael V. Daming tinamaanâ€¦ yung isa nga sa muka eh (face with tears of joy emoji) but seriously speakingâ€¦ kapul talaga (rolling on the floor laughing emoji)â€¦ deh eto totoo na umiiyak na siya. anywaysâ€¦ Quality > Quantity, Purpose & Responsibility." Joross is referring to a clout chasing vlogger who was quick to comment on Michael V's post, writing: "Masakit na katotohan na laos na kayo. WE CONTROL THE MEDIA NOW." "INFLUENCERS are the new celebrities! Kung hindi ninyo kayang makipag patalinuhan sa mga INFLUENCERS sa pag produce ng content.. Manahimik nalang kayo. MAINSTREAM IS DEAD!!! Social media is the NEW MAINSTREAM.

Singer Kakai Bautista shot back: "Wag masyadong mataas ang lipad kapatid. Sa industryang ito, hindi na din nagma-matter ang KASIKATAN, and pinakaGoal ay kung sino ang MAGTATAGAL. (hundred points symbol emoji)." Comedian Tuesday Vargas added, "Hindi ko masikmura na binastos ang ginagalang kong artista ng taong ito. Maayos naman ang kanyang sinabi.
