CAMP GENERAL PACIANO RIZAL, Laguna – Police arrested a total of 69 lawbreakers in Laguna on Thursday, May 11.
Laguna police chief Police Col. Randy Silvio reported to Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces, Police Regional Office 4-A director, said most of the suspects were apprehended for illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and loose firearms.
Shabu worth P262,166 was seized from 16 drug suspects in 13 operations.
Twenty-one most wanted persons were arrested, three on the provincial level for murder, homicide, and rape, four for illegal drugs, special protection of children against abuse, exploitation, and discrimination act, cybercrime, and theft.
Forty-one other wanted persons were also arrested.
Twenty-two were apprehended for illegal gambling.
"The Laguna PNP will continue to strengthen the conduct of anti-criminality operations in compliance with the mission to protect our community in accordance with the ideals and vision of regional director Brig. Gen. Gaces with the directives of PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. to enforce the law on all those who violate it because Laguna PNP has no other desire but an orderly, prosperous, quiet, and peaceful province,” Silvio said.
