Delivery driver with pending robbery-holdup case arrested in Baguio City


BAGUIO CITY – A delivery driver who is a suspect in a robbery-holdup incident here was arrested by the operatives of the Baguio City Police Office-Station 8 (Kennon Road) on Wednesday, May 10.

The accused was identified as Johnny Fuentes Soriano, 41, a resident of Kilometer 3, Marcos Highway, Purok 1, Bakakeng Central, here.

Soriano was arrested at about 2 p.m. at Cabinet Hill- Teachers Camp, this city, by joint operatives of the BCPO.

He was tagged by the BCPO as the No. 7 most wanted person on the city level and No. 1 MWP on the station level for the second quarter of calendar year 2023.

The suspect was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Heherson Casareno of Branch 79, Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Baguio City for Robbery with Violence Against or Intimidation of Persons (Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code).

The crime was committed on April 6, 2023 wherein the suspect with intent to gain and by means of violence against person robbed and carted away valuables, including Huawei Y9 cellphone, a wallet, and P12,000 cash from the victim, referred to as the private complainant.
