Three years after they got married, celebrity couple Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo are ready to raise a family.

During a media conference held at Seda Vertis North in Quezon City where he officially announced that he signed with GMA Network last May 11, Matteo revealed that he and wife Sarah are excited to have children.

"God willing, after all these activities that Sarah wants to do and wants to accomplish and my commitments with GMA Network, hopefully by the end of the year sana ipagpray nating lahat na makabuo," said Matteo when asked about their plan to have a baby.

Matteo, 33, said that he's ready to welcome their first baby.

"Pinaghahandaan ko na talaga 'yan. Handang handa na," the Cebuano hunk said.

Asked about the possibility of Sarah transferring to GMA Network, Matteo smiled and answered: "Hindi po natin alam eh. Magaling sila makipag-negotiate. Maybe. We'll never know."

Matteo said that his wife Sarah described his journey to GMA Network as an "answered prayer."

"Masaya. Sabi niya, love, bagay ka dun sa Public Affairs. Your prayers are answered. Our prayers are answered because of GMA," said Matteo when asked about Sarah's reaction upon joining the Kapuso network.

Matteo and Sarah got married in Taguig City on Feb. 20, 2020.

Beginning May 15, Matteo will be part of the long-running morning show "Unang Hirit" as one of its hosts. Matteo cannot hide his excitement to be one of the UH barkada.

"Sobrang excited kasi unang una, morning person ako. Pero medyo kinakabahan dahil yung mga host ng 'Unang Hirit' pinanapood ko lang sa TV and online. In a few days, I'll see them in real life. The team so far has been very welcoming and very nice to me. Hopefully, I can deliver and have a good time. And again, uplift the Filipino spirit - that's the whole goal of everything," Matteo said.

He added: "I'm a morning person and I wake up early. I am excited about the morning journey."

Also, Matteo will be part of GMA Public Affairs' upcoming action-dtama primetime series "Black Rider" with Ruru Madrid. And with GMA Public Affairs' being home to world-class and award-winning Filipino documentaries, Matteo will be part of a documentary special about nature.

"It's an action serye. I'm also excited about this one because it's hard action," he said.

On creating documentaries, Matteo said: "I started doing documentaries four years ago noong sumali po ako sa Scout Rangers of the Philippine Army. Bago po ako pumasok sa pagiging sundalo, sabi sa akin ng manager ko na si Boss Vic (del Rosario), may kundisyon ako bago ka pumasok d'yan. Gagawa ka ng documentary. So when I went inside, gumawa ako ng documentary called 'Ranger G.' So that's how it started."

When asked about the other Kapuso stars he would love to work with, Matteo said: "Ryan Agoncillo, Dingdong Dantes at marami pang iba. I'm also looking forward to working with the younger ones. Si Kuya Kim Atienza rin."

Viewers should also watch out for Mattteo's upcoming shows in GMA, including exciting projects with GMA Regional TV and Synergy.
