Imee Marcos: Mom OK after successful angioplasty

Senator Imee Marcos Thursday, May 11 revealed that her mother, former First Lady Imelda R. Marcos, underwent a successful angioplasty last May 7 at the St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City. Angioplasty refers to a repair of a blood vessel by surgical reconstruction or by use of inflatable catheter to widen a partly blocked passage. in a Viber account sent to Senate reporters, Imee said her 93-year-old mother "is recovering well and will be sent home this week."
