The subject was identified as Leo Capablanca of Barangay Hawaiian. He is a street-level individual, according to the police. Police Lt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca, Silay police chief, said that Capablanca was subjected to a buy-bust operation after they received information about his alleged involvement in illegal drugs. However, after the transaction on shabu was consummated, the suspect also allegedly offered to sell marijuana to a police agent, Darroca said. This led to the discovery of two kilograms of marijuana worth P240,000 from the suspect. Darroca said the plants were in the suspect’s backyard, somehow hidden from the people. Darroca believed that the suspect has been cultivating suspected marijuana plants for quite some time now. Police also confiscated from him seven grams of suspected shabu worth P47,600, the P3,000 marked money, and P1,000. Drug charges are being readied against the suspect.
